I had stock pushrods on my set up my set up is a 306 .30 over with flat top pistons elderbrock aluminum heads with upgraded springs with 1.6 RR need help with this need to get this motor back together with the rite size push rods or I can just use the stock length push rods but my stock push rods started to show a lot of wear factor when I went to change my heads what's the best way to go by this to get the correct length and this time I'm going chromoly

Call summit racing and ask them or get a adjustable pushrod length checker to be safe

I've built a set of these and even made a thread here on homemade engine building tools. The problem with using these pushrods is you need an 8" caliper to measure them. That's a minimum $30 for a halfway decent one. If you're going to do some other machine work, it may be worth the investment in the calipers.
Otherwise, these are probably the simplest and cheapest way to measure for pushrod length. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/cca-7701-1/overview/
