I know there's electric fans on other cars that can be used for our car, but which one would be best? Going to go on a 82 notch with 90's roller block, carb.. let me know your opinions or advice from experience..

+1 ran the contour fan works great, nice and slim too. There's always the Taurus fan option if you have the room.

would the wiring be similiar with a contour fan? I wont have much room under the hood since its gonna be a 82 engine bay with a bigger motor..

how hard was it to do all the wiring for it? Did you wire it like the taurus diagram from earlier on this post?

Kinda wiring was easy I forget the yr that the contour had dual fans but also the mystique have them. I used one relay there are several ways to wire it up since its a dual fan

*****3G alt is a must***** I used the dual countour fans form a 1996-2000 2.5 has to be the V6 . also I traced all of the wireing back up to the dual 70amp stock FORD relay's in the fuse box one is black and the other is green and then I kept the factory resistor thats bolted to the fan shroud to keep every thing nice and clean then i used a hayden fan controler to fire the relays On a side note I ran the taurus fan for two years and was not impressed [ October 12, 2012, 04:56 AM: Message edited by: JZTRK ]

Same here I have been running the Taurus fan for 8 months and it work to say the most. It's a lower power version of Lincoln mark viii fan which I love but I have gone they 3 they always end up quitting on me but look great with the factory radiator bottle mounted and trimmed. That dual fan set up looks just as good I will try that next but for reliability and never having to wrench on it I'd go with good ol clutch and fan blade try the chp version unless ur anal about power it really not going to make a difference ill still be faster in the 1/4 hahahhaa

+1 on the Contour fan, use a flex-a-lite controller, you should b able to get it up and running for around $200, better than any kit you can buy. Anyone that recommends others have never had a Contour fan.

I might end up selling my contour fans of an 96 cus I have a little race crank pulley and it messes up my charging system pretty bad with the dual fans even with a 3G alternator so get at me if interested
