how hard/long does it take to install a shift kit in an AOD? i heard with most kits it doesnt even require tranny removal so i was just curious if anyone has put one in before and can give me some input. thanks guys

The one I did was easy, pulled the valve body out, drilled a couple holes, replaced a couple springs, and I think some shift detents. The shift kit came with a instructions and a video on what to do.

A shift kit is simply a different transmission valvebody that allows more pressure. And no you wouldn't have to remove the transmission unless you want to change your torque converter. A torque converter controls what rpm the gears shift at. So a 2-300 rpm stall converter with. A shift kit will improve the shift points.
