So lately my 4cyl has been slipping in and out of overdrive on the freeway not often but enough amount of times to notice. Just the other day i lost it completely wouldnt even go past 50 without it running heavy and not wanting to accelerate. I tried hopping back on freeway and she wont go faster than 55 without it running 3200rpm and heavy. Fluid is at level. Im thinking my torque converter is the problem but any other gear 1-4 and speeds under 50 it runs fine no slipping. Wanting a bit of advice before i take her in since i dont have a back up car and plave to swap tranny or torque converter.

If youre using the stock 4 banger tranny then thats your problem right there. They're not as strong as their v8 counterparts.
