Yeah I figured in the hi 300's and he has a holley HP 750 carb, and the victor Jr intake..
They said his intake was too big..
Only produced 310rwhp 300rwtrq...
I believe he has stock gears.
Q: what gears are best to run for a drag set up and what can he improve to get the HP and trq up?
Also what do you guys think he will hit at the track with that horse power and trq?

And you guys got to remember that was on a mustang DYNO, so the numbers are 10 to 15% lower than a DYNO jet. Switch that intake out and you'll see your high 300's on a DYNO jet, and rc racing has a DYNO jet.

I dnt think he's ready for that solid roller if its a similar set up, it would break my heart too dump some hefty change on a stroker only too see it dyno that much
Camara on this board putts out better #s and its just a hci 302 with a hitech cam built by turbo50? I think.... [ April 29, 2012, 12:35 PM: Message edited by: lxhatch5.0 ]

LOL yeah he did put some money into it..the place he got it built by said if he changed anything on the motor internally because the numbers seemed low LOL...and the pple don't have records supposly of what they put in it.doesn't sound good to me..he will change a few things such as the intake and gears and take it back for tune to see if any numbers improve as far as the intake part.

wrong intake manifold, cam was for fuel injection combo. customer changed set up. Car was dyno'd only in third due to severe vibration from the rear end. Car will make more power in 4th gear.

So why do you guys say the victor jr is to big?
I think it would do fine. Gotta be another problem.
What ignition you running? stock? Whats the timing at? Compression? What Rpm did they stop on the dyno? [ May 02, 2012, 10:32 PM: Message edited by: ItzStock ]

well 4.10's are best for 1/4 mile
but 300 hp is just plain wrong
his intake isnt too big...something is VERY VERY wrong
3rd gear dyno ? vibration ? faster spinning = more vibration....there is a bullshitting bullshitter hiding in the mix,. and trying to slip out the asshole with no tissue
time for court IMO

with the right cam and intake that combo should make an easy 430 at the wheels, also depending on the bottom end choice, but with a demon carb and some longtubes on those 185s it should make quite a broad powerband.

That's what im sayin. That intake would be great on a carb'd 347. I wouldn't go any other way than a victor on that motor. Those people that say to change it are wrong.
Take that motor to 6500+ and make power all the way there as long as you got a cam to match.
Make sure you have good ignition too. [ May 03, 2012, 10:31 PM: Message edited by: ItzStock ]

As far as the vibration he thinks it might be his used drive shaft that he bought but he is going to change that...n yea somthing doesn't seem right with the power that he's producing..maybe its a 302 stock everything LOL..
