Topic: Power seat stuck in "up" position??

My driver seat in my 94 is stuck in the up/highest position and it seems that it won't go back down (using the switch doesn't do anything). Is there a way to manually lower it?

I think if it gets stuck 'up' for more than 4 hours you're supposed to call your doctor.

be lucky its not stuck in the down position lol. really cause u wont get the bolts out. ur gonna have to take it , one of the motors prob took a crap.

It goes up, forward, and back...just not down. The motor doesn't make any noise when I put the switch to the down position. Is this still a motor issue? Maybe switch?

Possible switch issue, the switches are prone to failure due to dirty contacts.
unscrew the switch and unplug the connectors to remove.
Once out you can open the switch to gain access to the contacts. clean contacts and reinstall.

mustang guy is right, if it was the motor it wouldnt go up or down, same motor, gotta be your switch, good luck!

How did the fix go? I have the same issue with a 95 drivers seat.

I ended up removing the seat and unplugging all the harnesses. I then ran a positive and negative wire straight from the battery to the seat motor harness and it lowered the seat. Problem solved ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif)
