So I just got 2 autometer electrical gauges for my 98 cobra (oil pressure & water temp), I have never installed gauges before so I'm not exactly sure where to hook it up to. I have heard there is a port near the oil filter to put a sensor and hook up the gauge. Is this true? I havnt had time to take a look yet and I thought someone here might be able to tell me.

Thats the stock sender, just unscrew it and put the new one on. Water temp is on the front of the lower intake on the drivers side.

Just take ground to one side of the gauge/light, Switched 12v to the other, and grab a parking light wire for illumination. If memory serves me correct it is a brown wire in the lower drivers side kick panel. Run new wires from the sending units to the gauges. Done.
