Topic: What stall needed for e303

just finished my motor, and i put a e303 in it, behind it, im intsalling a 3 speed auto (FMX) transmission and now im looking at torque converters.
could i get away with running a 2200 stall?
budget is pretty tight and next stall up is $50 more.
its all going in my cougar.

wouldnt hurt and might improve, but u dont need one with a ecam. they have a friendly idle

oh really? i was told that i will have idling problems with the e303 and stock TC. well in that case, ill just use my stock TC for now.

My automatic experience falls in aod and c4
I say 3000 stall minimum, assuming you weigh in at 3000 and have 300 hp
Otherwise advertised stall is way diff

hmm. i thought 3000 was alittle to much.. i could be wrong tho..

stock tc will be fine, you would probably be happier with a 2200-2400 stall

ok thanks. ill just run the stock one for now until i get a 4 or 5 speed for it. wasnt really trying to put money into a fmx tranny. lol
