Topic: Fuel Gauge Malfunction/ Odometer not working

So my fuel gauge is reading wrong. It stays on full for way to long and then at about 1/2 tank I run out of gas. Only happened once, now I keep it full all the time. Any ideas what could be wrong? Also my odometer stopped working but my speedo and everything else works fine. Any ideas?

my odometer always goes out too, havent really gotten to see why. hopefully someone on here knows why.

The odomoter is bad, and the fuel sender is also bad. Replace fuel sender and guage cluster.

The Fuel sender is bad? as in the fuel pump? or something else?

The fuel level sender, my bad. It's just a float that bob's up and down in the gas tank. They usually rust up and don't move as smoothly, hence why you go from half to zero.

Haha but it does work! It just is off by a lot. It stays fuel until about 1/2 of fuel is left... and then when it gets down to 1/2 on the gauge, I am out of fuel.

I have had swapped a cluster that have a bad fuel gauge in them before.
