definitely clean it while your there.
Berryman chemtool & a parts brush will work wonders on that buildup.

the stock upper intake opening is not 70mm, so you shouldn't gain anything by changing the egr spacer.

Would adding a cobra upper help? Can I port the uper stock?I did want to remove the stock intake upr and lower add a rpm 2 or trick flow with my 24 lbs injectors and maf. Would this help? Mild cam too stock heads or should I just slap the 70mm egr and wait till I pull the motor?

Your cars never gonna see much with all those parts without some decent cylinder heads. If the air can't move through it there's no use to it

I just hated that noise of a fake supercharger on my shit... plus if I have the 70mm egr plate its one less piece I gotta worry about.

Well get a intake with a 70mm opening so there's no restriction and spend some decent money on some edlebrock heads for starters not 800 dollar gt40 with port work keep the mild cam and run it right no half assin. The only reason my car not back on the street is I'm saving up for aluminum heads so I don't have to do it twice to do it right

Well james I really wanted to do a motor swap. Just toss in a h c I. Set up my oil pan leaks a tad bit. So I'm debating. I still need to do my rear end torque boxes upr and lower which jonathanaka iron50 will do. What would you do? Toss the egr plate on and wait till I got enough $ or just sit the car down until summer? Pull the motor and what not.

a cobra upper will not bolt to a stock lower.
the upper opening could be opened up to match the 70mm t/b but it's still a stock intake and you're just moving the restriction down the line.
next restriction is the stock heads...
24lb injectors and maf will make the car run worse and won't make it faster unless it needs the extra fuel, which with stock heads it doesn't unless you bolted a supercharger on it.

Thanks for the info blind! Anytime I gotta question you always have a straight answer. So you think its best to just wait till I got the cash ? For the hci swap

Cobra upper? 70mm spacer? 24lb injec? Do yourself a favor and ditch those plans, get some 410s and 19lbs injectors.Be realistic! Passing smog in California is like walking on water. very difficult :-)

Not worried about that. I have the 4.10s but my tires just don't hook up. Lol so I'm doing a whole gang of stuff. I.e torque boxes upr nd lower control arms. New tires. (Nittos) I was running a perelli tire which sucked didn't hook at all with a 315 wide tire you would think ud hook up.

that's what I would do, nothing else is really going to make much difference with the stock heads. Even swapping the cam will just move the power band up and make the car slower / less power because it will lose the torque of the stock cam.
