im looking into spraying my motor for a little while until i go boosted.
motor will be a e303 cammed, ported heads, full exhaust, intake, other little bolt ons 5.0.
im only gunna spray when i need it, so i shouldnt do too much harm to the motor.
and my question is, how much can i safely spray on it? i was looking at a 35-75hp NX proton kit.
is that safe enough to spray? and would the cam be good to spray with?

You will be fine. I prefer the dry kits for a small shot like that, but the wet will work fine. I would also consider a dry Zex kit. You could always use it in conjunction with a blower in the future depending on how stout of a motor you build.

ok cool. and is the kit im looking at dry or wet? it doesnt say in the jegs and summit catalogs..

Stock motors will take 125-150 shots all day. Just gotta make sure you have the proper fuel delivery.

really? i have stock injectors and rails with a 190gph fuel pump. would that be fine?

I was told for every 50 shot it's 2 degrees that has to be taken out. And different plugs have to be run.

If this is truly what you are planning to run (hp wise) then you do not have to worry about fuel delivery, colder plugs or timing. And yes the cam works well with Nitrous.

As long as its a wet shot like you say it is, I dont see why it wouldn't work. If it were a dry shot then I'd highly advise you to upgrade the injectors as well. Just make sure everything is setup correctly by someone that is nitrous-knowledgeable.
Some people say retard 2 degrees for every 50shot.. but most people say retard 1 degree for every 50shot. Its really to each his own. Some people are more cautious than others.

100 should be perfectly fine maybe one step colder plugs and back the timing off just a tiny bit. I could be wrong but I think that's what I would do.

what about the NOS 75-100hp efi dry kit for 579$ @ summit? whats more suitable for a completley stock 5 liter, wet or dry?
is there one brand better than the other? any pros n cons over the brands?

The nitrous works kit bangs hard and is what I ran. I loved it. Maxed at 215hp.
I would run an auxiliary fuel pump no matter what if it is in the budget. Wet kits I feel you can get away without one with a good in tank pump and 100shot but thats jus me and very argueable.
Dynotune is great and great for the price if you are on a budget.
Like anything this can get expensive.
