So I thought it might be the battery or the alternator. So I when ahead and got both the battery and alternator and still no charger what might be the problem guys.. need your help thanks

Check your connections at the alternator and battery. It could just be a lose battery cable.

I did the pull the positive cable trick and engine die. I know is not a good idea but I had no other way to test it

AutoZone can test the system. sounds like maybe a bad ground somewhere . The cables corrode from the inside out.

I had that problem check your green wire on the alternator u should have 12 volts wen the key is on if u dnt then your battery resister is bad

Had a similar problem, did all testing and nothing. I then took it to an electrical shop and they messed with wires under the solenoid idk what tho

Hit the gasser, go faster, all u heard was dual exhaust n flowmasters.

Where is the resister located?
It's located inside the gage cluster

make sure your plugs are good n tight goin into your alternator..i had a bad one(big plug) and it caused bad charging..my voltage gauge read real low

I check everything from resistor, grounds, fuses etc. No charge .. I need this car running i need help.. if any body know how to fix this pm me price..

Hook up a vat40 or an in series ammeter, or even a test light in series. See if there is an amperage draw with key and all accessories off. If so, start pulling fuses one by one until the amperage goes away. When u pull the right fuse, look up that circuit and look for a possible short. Your charging system may be okay, but u have a significant parasitic draw. Even a half amp draw over a couple days of sitting will drain a good battery. Good luck

like others have said..u may have something on thats draining battery..test light all your fuses and youll find it.

Thanks guys I finally got the battery to charge, the reason it wasn't charging, it had an 87 cluster and my car was a 93 problem solve thanks again guys..
