heard pistons need to be notched, or can it be made to fit if degreed in a certain way??

You won't know if it clears a stock bottom end (without notching the pistons) until you check P to V clearence.

That's a pretty big cam, you'll definitely need to notch your pistons for it....but always good to check p/v clearance
