my 85 carbureted idles at 2000rpm for about 15 minutes after i start it, i tap the gas to try to make it go down to 1k but still stays at 2000 for about 15 minutes, then after that it goes down to 1k...it seems my gas wastes faster, does anyone know my problem?

COLD START but it does it over 15 mins even if I drive it and once I put it in neutral the rpms stay at 2000
