Everybody and theyre brother has run an E cam with stock springs including me.I dont see a problem with it.Might not wanna press your luck with an E and 1.7 rockers though. And for the record,"well" ported E7's run about as well as some out of the box aftermarket heads do.

Did you have the heads flowed?
Anyway if they run good like Mike says and you want an ots unit the tfs stage 1 runs pretty good.

If this was the case than all these CAFords lowballers wouldn't bother porting the GT40 Irons... E7 heads rather they be ported, polished, touch by Jesus himself, still suck

im not gettin at you dan, jus alot of members here think spending tons of $$$$$ on the best of the best is gonna get them fast. Ive seen some stout ass combos on stock short blocks with iron heads, including gt40s and e7s bein ported, on one of my 1st stangs had ported e7s and dat shit screamed. i think its what you wanna do with the car, or jus try and out do the people with more money in their cars, i personally like bein the underdog with a mainly stock block with a few extras. i think we should arrange a date at the track where its alumin heads vs iron heads, and nos vs boost, fords vs chevy. in the end only the driver with the best skill will win rite??... ive been to the track a few times and lookd under some of the hoods of the faster cars...they tend to look like shit and be junk yard builders who take the cake. If your in to budget builds just put some 1.7rr and call it a day. just the cam will not gain you any consistent hp gains. The restriction is in the cylinder head. [ July 03, 2011, 11:07 PM: Message edited by: Adam5.0 ]

Um e7's are hardly junk heads. Let me remind you guys that the Factory Stock winner last year won with E7's. That car can run in the 10's NA when not ballasted. Ran 11 teens in competition. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f83nLwd3YNk

They can be made to work, but those guys have like 2k plus in their heads. Just an fyi I had a stock headed 90gt with a cage, probably 3350 with me in it. Car ran 13.0 at 106 on drag radials with a high 1.960ft at sac with stock e7's with just the thermactor bump removed. Was my only time ever at the track with this setup, and temps were in the 90's that day. Setup was e7's, tfs 1, and performer rpm. Was a fun setup and think it could have ran 12's all day with some more track time and better weather.
