i know i should know if it has a t-5 or not but i havent worked on a 2.3 before. but if its not a t-5 and a t-5 wont bolt up to the 2.3 then what other 5-sp trans will.

T5's will bolt up to a 2.3 as long as you have the bellhousing for a 4cyl

4 cyl T5's have a different input shaft with a longer pilot bearing snout than V8 T5's. I believe the snout diameter is different too. [ June 20, 2011, 04:01 PM: Message edited by: wilit ]

A v8 t5 can go in a 2.3, u need a bronze bushing instead of the 2.3 pilot bearing and it will work I had a z-spec t5 in my SVO it would roast 1st,2nd for days with the taller gear ratios

i am thing puting longer gears and a turbo set up off a turbo coupe i hate doing 65-70 at 3 grand in 5th
