</script><hr /> </font> <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial"> sounds like an input shaft bearing to me. if it was a throw out bearing or pilot bearing it would whine all the time not just in certain gears. when your going to 4th gear your running on the main shaft and its not getting loaded from the counter shaft....
