So my girls got an 01 V6 stang, and has been experiencing some low rpm misfires. Threw a code a few times before as a misfire in cylinder #1. She took it to get fixed, and the mechanic assured her that it was the coil. Well, a few months later, she seems to be experiencing them same problem. Im not ruling out the coil being bad.. again.. but I was seeing if you guys had any suggestions. I have already done plugs and wires, tps sensor, cam position sensor, cleaned the maf, and checked for vacuum leaks. Before I slap another coil on, I want to get your guys input. It happens from idle-3k, but after that its a beast, and doesn't stutter. Also if you just ease into it, it doesnt seem to act up, just when you punch it. LMK!

Coils hardly ever go bad on these cars. Grounding issue sounds like.

if it has a COP setup, move the misfiring coil to another cylinder and see if the code follows it.

Its 1 coil for all. I may try another and see what happens.

An ARC can also throw off your coil as well...

I had a car that had a missfire under load, ended up spark arching through boot to the engine block.
