I accidently knocked the oil dipstick tube out of the hole while I was giving a tune up the other day. Now it wont fit back in the tiny hole. Its on a 89 5.0 engine. Any advice???? [ May 27, 2011, 06:37 PM: Message edited by: skyblue50 ]

scrape it out with a tiny pick or knock it in and use a magnet on the oil pan to draw it to the drain plug

+1 force the broken part of the dipstick tube into the oil pan and fish it out of the drain plug hole with a magnet after the oil has been drained.
