What temperature is my engine supposed to running?? Its completly stock.... Its showing pretty high but its not in the red.. I dnt know if this is normal.... Any info would be greatly appriciated!! Thanks!!

stock thermostat temp is 195*, within 5* over that is perfectly fine.

a thermostat is designed to open later than the advertised temp. when they get to the temp its rated at it will slowly start opening but the engine temp will get up to 210-215* before its fully open and thats then hte temp will start coming back down. cars are designed to run at 210* now rather than the 160-180* back in the 60s-mid 80s
