11.5:1 would be pretty tough but ive seen it done
11:1 is still up there for todays gas but should be doable with the right setup.
just keep an eye on your DCR (DYNAMIC Compression Ratio) and run cylinder heads with efficient combustion chambers.

Make sure the chambers on your heads are well polished and maybe a little extra overlap in the cam profile youll be fine.

hit the nail on the head. cam overlap is a big thing when it come to running 10.5:1 or more compression.
