i hav a 8.8 rearend i want to replace te upper housing bushings,how do i remove and how do i replace....

I'm pretty sure they have to be pressed out but I cut mine out cuz I was using some spherical ones

buy the MM tool and it takes 10 minutes to replace both Includes instructions.

im sure i can air hammer them out,but to install them i heard a trick about freezing the bushing and heating the upper ears with a torch ?anyone heard of that?

with experience is required, but 30 seconds to remove and install, with the correct size devoted socket and hammer.

This is correct, by freezing the bushings the metal shrinks and will make them easier to install. You can also warm the ears which will make the metal expand making it even easier, but ya gotta be quick. To remove the bushings take a chisel and place the blade of the chisel along the length and collapse the steel shell inward and they will come right out.

ok...1 more question guys.i got the bushingS but it didnt come with the metal sleeve,do they sell the metal sleeve or the bushing that has the sleeves on already

Go to napa 2tone an the can get the bushing you need for like 20 bucks

went on summit i think these are it aswellbut napa has them for 24 ,kinda need that ford modifier,oh well
