ok so did a bunch of work to car and last night we got it running. My question is if its running can the timing still be way off? it seemed to be running decent but something was a little off. Im going to throw a timing light on it as soon as i get home but just wanted to hear some input

yep sure can be way off..take out #1 sparkplug put your finger in the hole where sparkplug came out of have a friend bump start the motor until compression pushes your finger out u should be close to TDC...put sparkplug bak in start car and check timing

be careful it that can be detrimental. to retarded the intake can backfire. To advance the motor can detonate. take it slow
