My 1990 5.0 stang also has a problem with the fuel pump when i turn the key back to hear the stereo the fuel stays on and doesn' turn off is it something with wiring

Fuel pump relay is either bad, or has been bypassed (hard wired).

Find the relay under the seat. Replace the relay. Check the condition of the wiring. Repair as needed.
If this doesn't fix it, you're looking at a ignition switch issue.
