I would start with the fuel filter because it's the easiest, cheap, and if it has'nt been changed recently then it can't hurt. Next drop the tank and change the pump. If that does'nt fix it then change the the sensor on the distributer.

Fuel Switch issue sounds weird as to why pressing that would change anything. But I once ran into a similar problem with my old car, and swapping the Mass air out for a new one and cleaning the 10 pin salt and pepper plugs in the back fixed the issue. I changed the inertia switch and nothing. Still same problem. What is weird is when the car turns off I don't hear the fuel pump now when I turn the key...could it be the fuel pump? I wanted to do the small basic stuff before dropping the tank and changing pump. Any input from the update? Thankz
