OK I HAVE AN 89' 5.0 MUSTANG THAT HAD A STOCK AOD TRANSMISSION AND IT WENT OUT ON ME. NOW I BOUGHT THIS OTHER TRANSMISSION AN AOD FOR A 5.0 A 92' BUT WHAT I DIDNT KNOW IS THAT IT WAS FROM AN 92' F150 5.0 SO IS IT STILL POSSIBLE TO MAKE IT FIT MY 89' MUSTANG???

measure everything, may need to swap the tailhousing.

sorry this is my first mustang and still learnin the inside of my car learning it in and out where is the tailhousing and where can i find one

tailhousing, your nearest u pull it yourself will or should have an auto, also besure the gearing for a truck is the same for the car, may shift abnormally, or rev out..

I believe that model truck will have the short output like the Mustang but the shift levers will be different. Therefore the shift linkage will need changing which must have a nut removed on the inside along with the removal of a holding pin. It's possible the speedo drive gear has a different number of teeth as well.

OK SO I WOULD HAVE TO OPEN THE BOTTOM OF THE TRANNY TO GET TO THE LINKAGE THAN SWAP THAT OUT
