Friend notes he has a regular TV with the old ears on it and he can't pick up early games worth a shit out there. Anyone have any setups or know of any that work WELL?

Don't you need a digital receiver now to pick up broadcasts with an antenna? They quit doing analog broadcasts in June of last year.

I am running the Terk amplified indoor antenna and can pick up 76 channels.
