I have a 91 stng gt with some mods n I was checking my timeing the other day n noticed that it doesn't have a spout connected n I've been running the car like that for a while so my question is can I continue to run it like this or do I have to have the spout put back on. It runs good like this but just wondering what u guys suggest. Thanx
don't have the spout can I just buy one at the autoparts or snagg one from wreking yard?

is there a jumper wire stuck in there? without the spout the timming is locked in. usually this is only done with some boost setups. without the spout the car will usually fall on its face and die out

Yes you can run it that way. On my blown 331 I always had it out.Just set it for total timming. NA it is better to have it in.

put it in. dont be foolish lol! the computer is in limp mode and cant do any adjustments to really run right. and no jumper wire. there is a certain resistance in those spout connectors that the computer is to see.

it isnt foolish it will run just fine with it out if the timming is set correctly. You might not get the economy you want, but I did get over 20 mpg on a few trips like this. If it is a n/a set up I would probably run a spout.

DO NOT put the spout connector back in!!!!!!!
if it runs ok now, the timing has been cranked up manual with the dist, you need to manually set the timing lower before you attempt to put the spout back in
