i got a 92 fox....i jus replaced the battery and alternator and my batttery gauge is at 10volts i hit the gas the meter doesnt move? WTF?

Check the wiring harness going to the alternator. It's pretty common that they will melt/crack/break over time...causing this issue.

also check the voltage regulator

That's part of the alternator, shouldn't be a issue...

buy a volt meter and put it on you pos and neg battery terminals and read the voltage at normal idle should be over 13v + but not in the 15v and how accurate can a 20 plus year guage and wiring be and also add ons such as stereo etc.. whats easy first a volt meter to see true voltage or busting your eyes on looking for a broken or burned wire

its a new alternator so no need to check the regulator and i guess its all good now i jus left it on for about ten minutes then drove it....slowly by slowy it started to charge..but i did use a voltage meter and it read correctly...thanks for the help!
