I thought since it was fuel injected and 1987-just standard firing order it's has a hydralic roller lifter cam. I guess I can change the gear. I had my 5.0 ho distributor out, and compared the two units.<br />I sanded a spot on both gears and used my 10x loop to inspaect. one was flat, the other had "perocity" or micro craters. I'll take your word for it being cast.
