hey i am going to be removing a t-5 transmission out of a 87 5.0 mustang tomorrow so i can get the transmission rebuilt, what would be the easyiest way to remove this transmission from the car?. your help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!.

its fairly simple..unbolt the exhaust,unbolt the crossmember and clutch cable,then unbolt the tranny from the bellhousing..should come right out..and you might as well replace the clutch while you in there

160 is way cheap, you will not find cheaper labor by someone that supposed to 50s pretty well. good deal

thanks guys, and i am going to get it rebuilt, and then put it into my 90 AOD. =] hopefully it stops sprinkling so i can get outside and do it!

Yeah probably best just to remove the trans from the bellhousing. Much easier process if you don't need to mess with the clutch

cheap work comes along with a cheap job i always say!! naw turbo50 is a good mechanic go with him....shit i usually pull my own trannys but for 160 i might have him do it!!
