My drivers window doesn't go up or down with out me pulling or pushing to help. I pulled out the motor and put the plug back in it so I could see it operate. It seems to work fine. I put it back in to make sure and it just make noise. Has it just lost strength? Need advise.
Thanks!
Ok I pulled the cover off of the motor and this is what I find. This is a easy fix right? somebody please post up a link for parts that are needed.

undo the screw holding the cover on where the gear is, more than likely the 3 round plastic bushings are in pieces. If this is OK, look at the teeth on the window regulator arm (where the gear from the motor runs against)for stripped off teeth.

You an pull off the metal gear and then the larger plastic and clean all the plastic pieces out of it. Those are the bushings that you need, once you clean the motor install the large gear back in and install 3 bushings in the corners and reinstall steel gear and reattach cover. Very easy fix for a very common problem

You can get the plastic pins on ebay for $3-$6. They are pretty common to all Fords and some other brands as well. Napa did sell the gear with the pins as well but it will cost a lot more.

Yep, those are the bushings you need. I bought a kit that had the gear in it for a few $$ more. Not totally necessary, though. Here's how to install 'em..................
