Just wondering if anyone knows if a instrument cluster from a 90-93 will fit on a 88. I need to get a new one and someone I know is selling one from his 90 and he said he thinks it will fit.

Thanks

it does fit, but you need to keep in mind t hat the pint outs are different for 90-93, look for my recent post that had the plug pinouts.

Also the cowling or shroud is slightly smaller than 88. And I believe the "not so smart" lights are different as well.

here's the link

download and print this out.

the orientation on the sheet the plug is facing you

Anyone know how hard this is? If someone knows how, if you want to make a little money to help me out it would be appreciated.

Make things alot easier and just get one from an 87-89. Is there something wrong with yours? Or do you not have one?

If you just want the 140 MPH speedometer get an 89 (89 only)V8 cluster (I believe I have one available) and it is as simple as plug and play.

yea there is something wrong, I think part of the board is fried or something. Tach, temp and oil dont work and the lights go off and on. I was only going to put the 90-93 one on just because I was basically getting it for free almost.
