please excuses the dumb question.,i dont know much about cams yet . i have a e303 in my car rite now with 1.7 rockers, performer edelbrock heads and performer intake and plenty of fuel and only spinning the water pump and alt. good suspension on slicks with 4.10s full interior exc,the car has gone 12.5 at 111 i have a custom cam from flowtech induction that im thinking of putting in would it be worth the trouble or should i focus else where . im trying to get 12.0 out of the 302 n/a maybe 11.9 . here is the specs on the cam

thanks the intake is off the car might aswell just worried about buying different push rods

Your pushrods should be fine but you will be cutting it close if your on stock bottom end, just double check your clearence before starting it. If you have an adjustable timing set try laying the cam forward a couple degrees. You should get out of the hole a little quicker. O and if that cam doesnt work try advancing that e-cam 4 degrees, frpp cams are usually 4 degrees off. [ January 16, 2010, 02:13 AM: Message edited by: whitelx91 ]

whats the benefit of installing the cam advance or backing it up 4 degrees? i removed the timing cover it has a adjustable timing chain and the e cam was backed up 4 degrees . i installed the new cam put the timing chain back up and lined up the dots put the lifter back in and push rod with the chim in it and the push rod feels lose it has a little of play up and down. if i remove the chim it feels to tight kinda presses down on the spring a little

yea it is and the push rods are good all i have to figure out now is the specs on degreeing the cam
