thinking about putting the stock ratio back on . now i have 3:73. can some tell what the stock ratio is and what years fit. its a 5 speed . thanx. also is there a difference in the v6 vs v8

2.73 or option was 3.08 automatic's had 3.27's. Why got back to stock??

Makes sense. I don't know if the v6 rear ends have lower gears to make up for the power difference?

V6 Mustangs use a 7.5" rearend not the 8.8"

I have the stock 3:27 from the 97 GT. (5spd)
If you want them, take it.
