86 GT , GT4O HEADS AND E-303 CAMJUST CONVERTED TO MASS. BUT VIBRATES VERY ROUGH AT IDLE IVED CHECKED ALL VACUM LINES AND THEY ARE ALL OK I HAVED BEEN TOLD THAT I CAN BE THE HARMONIC BALANCER BUT NO SURE . ANY HELP WELCOME !!!!!

Could be timing is off, or just as you mentioned- harmonic balancer. I had a very similar problem and it turned up to be a bad balancer. Check to see if the rubber piece in between the balancer is coming apart.

if it feels like a bad miss check the timing, if the timing is good and there are no vac leaks and its still missing you might of bent some valves if you put a cam in a stock 86 flat top piston motor. hope thats not the case goodluck.

WELL I HOPE ITS NONE OF MY VALVES CUS I JUST RECENTLY SWAPED TO GT4O'S AND I DOUBT ITS THE TIMING BECAUSE WHEN I ACCELERATE SOUNDS FINE AND WHEN ITS THE TIMING IT USUALLY MISS FIRES . MY GUESS

Balancer or timing is completely wrong. Had a car a few weeks ago that was 10* the opposite way...it ran a "little bit" rough. [Wink]
