The Mustang will Start but after 5 minutes of idle it turns off?

choke not working right maybe? ignition problem?

Does it fire back up? If not its most likely linked to the dist, very common problem in the 82-85's

unless its cfi it is duraspark and that is probably the issue the duraspark box
