The s-trim upgrade is no longer done by vortech. The rep said that you need to make sure you the at least 4-5 threads exposed past the impeller nut. If you don't the upgrade will cost more. I was about to buy an a-trim kit with plans of having it upgraded. Shortly after I ran across a good deal on a s-trim kit so I bought it. As for the sq upgrade being quite, I don't think it will be any quitter than an a-trim. I'm no expert but it's my understanding that the whine comes from the straight cut gears of the V-1. Changing the impeller won't help that. But like I said, I'm no expert and pretty new to superchargers. <br /> </font> </td></tr> </table></td></tr></table> <br /> <br />
