need some help,ok i know that there are differences in bolt patterns between the romeo and windsor blocks but other than that can i put a 4.6 romeo long block in a 98 f-150 that has 4.6 windsor block that needs to be replaced?
any help would be great thanks

should be fine, as far as I know the difference is really just the valve covers?

thanks for the info just trying to make sure that there are no real big differences between the two so the swap will be strait forward otherwise ill keep lookin for an exact replacement

hey dave, yeah the motor has almost 270,000mi left side has been heli coiled already and now the right side went. also has a lower end knock so im swapin it out for my neighbor its his truck.

both will work for you then just make sure what engine you get has the front cover an is not a pi engine in less it comes with a intake

Depending on the year, you may need to swap flywheels due to the bolt pattern.

thanks for the help,as soon as i get the next motor ill let u know the year and so on,so if its a pi motor i need the intake that goes with it and not the one thats on the truck. thanks dave,john for your help
