i have a 85 stock carb Hatch mustang and i wanted to kno what would imrpove the cars speed besides adding a cam.

gears, suspension, tires, cam wont do you any good unless you do the heads.

I got a 85 asweel I put in new carb new manifold heads springs litters headers gears cam roller rockers

I wouldn't start with a cam. 5.0's have gone into the 10's with a stock cam.
I would start with:
Underdrive pullies Gears (switching to a 8.8 would be a good idea instead of building the 7.5) Subframe connectors Shortie headers and x-pipe
All of this would be smog legal(providing that you used cats) and would be a good base for future mods. [ November 18, 2009, 05:55 PM: Message edited by: phildog ]
