95 GT I had a BBK Off Road H pipe and it fit perfectly. Everything lined up great. Now I have the new BBK Off Road X pipe #1664 and it doesn't fit. The air hose does not connect right. It is located about 6 inches higher than the H pipe air hose. Luckily I bought it through Summit and they are going to replace it. I am concerned that it will be the same with the other set. Since this is 3 pieces, am I just not doing something right. I have installed my H pipe over the course of 7 years or so without a hitch. I am thinking that it was welded in the wrong location, but aren't these machine made? I get the new one tonight. By the way, I ordered the x pipe early on a Friday and I got it Monday. Then I reported it on Sunday and They are sending a new one with the pick up of old one today. Summit is awesome. [ October 27, 2009, 08:05 PM: Message edited by: 95GTConvtACE ]

are you talking about the smog tube line that goes down to the cats? ifso, cut it and use a rubber hose as a coupler.

I think that might be the same thing. They call it an air hose I think. That is an awesome idea. I probably don't even have to cut it. Have you tried that and do you know the size hose it is?

lol. I am just lazy. Did yours not line up either? I am wondering if this is a common problem.

Ok, I just did the whole rubber tube and it is ghetto-fied. It sounds great though. I think I like it better than my O/R H-Pipe. It also feels like it pulls harder too. I have to find a way to fix the rubber hose deal. BBK sucks.

I know exactly what you are talking about and it was the same on the bbk I ordered. I didn't want to cut anything so I returned it and bought a bassani x pipe and it fit right out of the box without modifications.

There are always small differences from pipe to pipe, I've had ones that fall right into place and others you have to fight to make fit. Its just part of the game when you decide to mod your car and buy the lower end unit. Every Bassani exhaust piece I've installed fits very well and is great quality but you pay for that.

I thought BBK was suppose to be good quality. I am glad I read this because I will go with a Bassani X Pipe and not BBK.

BBK advertised that these were direct replacement and they weren't. The replacement was the same as the first. My BBK H pipe fit perfectly.

I just brought my car to the exhaust shop and they said it was not a big deal to cut a weld the bbk so I guess most people just work with it.

BBK isn't the highest quality so you get small differences between each piece they make. I'm not saying they build junk but its not the best. You pay more than twice the price for Bassani but with them you get a very high quality piece that will fit right. Oh yeah, my Bassani mid pipe for my Lightning came with a rubber hose to mate up to the air injection tube just because the whole design was different but it works fine.
