Underdrive pulleys don't really make 6 to 15hp, its jus less weight for the rotational mass, get an upper and lower intake and a throttle body den work on ur fuel system den get sum heads, imo.

if pullies did make 15hp or even close everbody would buy them before a upper and lower intake.that would be the next thing after gears.

first off... GEARS.. if you are going to install the cam then swap out your heads at the same time.
The E303 on stock heads isn't going to buy you much at all. You can pickup a cheap set of GT40 irons. Those heads with the cam will be good.

Before u start buying parts u should consider what kind of car you want to build and its intended use. Don't wanna buy a bunch of parts that won't work well together. From past experience I wouldn't waste ur time spending a bunch of money on bolt ons. Save up and get some heads and an intake. Then once u start buying bolt ons u will see better gains because the car breathes better. Gears are a good mod but ur gonna make ur car run out of steam even faster than stock foxes do. Gear it later.

An e-cam swap would be a waste on a motor that stock. There are better places to spend your money. Sell the cam and buy an intake and TB combo.
Building a motor around a cam is the backwards way to build it. The cam should be chosen based on the engine.
Everyone wants an aftermarket cam for the sound, but on a motor like yours, the power gains are going to be virtually nil. Might sound good tho. [ October 21, 2009, 02:05 AM: Message edited by: phildog ]

im on brakes and chassis stiffnes first.the motor is already more than the car can take in these departments.stick the cam in a box and save it, dump some 1 7 rockers if you want a cam change. get the bolt on stuff, some gears for sure, than when your ready for some real tire smokin stuff, buy some heads, and then take that cam out the closet then pull the motor and goe threw it one time for the greatness.lol.
