Check you fuses first. After that it's time to bust out the multi-meter and start testing the ignition system. Start with the switch and work your way through the circuits until you find the issue.

Good luck [patriot]

sounds like there is a problem in you remote wire fot the soliniod. follow the little blue wire the plugs on top of the solinoid. have someone turn the key and test it with a test light. it will go into the steering colum

I had this problem long time ago with a foxbody replaced all solenoids relays & fuses and it tuned out to be the clutch pedal sensor (the one that wont let your car start without having you foot on the clutch) yeah for some reason it fell and wasnt hooking so I bypassed it and no longer had to hotwire the stang.

check that just in case you never know WORTH A TRY!

Either the dimmer switch is on or a door pin switch is stuck.

damm dimmer switch was on but anyways ok fellas so ive basically pulled off everything except the dash on stared my way down the harness testing the top wire that goes to the soleniod and from the connector, it has power some where along the way it lose it and i guess they "bypassed the clutch sensor by just unpluging the connector with the blue wires and cutting off the connector with the red wires and just hooked all the red wires togeher if i reconnect the wire connectors u think it will work? or running a new wire my self or hooking a toggle switch to it? wtf should i do???? i hate electrical problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

try connecting it back where its suppost to be, see if it works (it should!) before you do anything else and let us know what happens and remember to start the the with the clutch on [Big Grin]
