man i no im posting this in the wrong section
but i think this is GENERAL TALK

well i been in my garage all night since like 5.30 working on my mustang puttin the inside back together,

my car sat for a month and a half without hittin the streets.

the other day i took it for a spin and i noticed that there was a little power loss [Confused]

yesterday i pulled it out for a min and i noticed it had a little miss fire, [Mad] when i get it up to 1500 its worse [Mad] [Mad]

so today after i got done with the inside i went to the next problem "THE MISS FIRE"

so i check the spark plugs all good
cap rotor all good
i check the spark plugs wires all good
damn stuck! [Confused] so i went to my neghbors house and pulled his maf off its a stock 88 one problem still there!
.... [Mad] [Mad] [Mad] [Mad]

do u think guys it could be the map sensor?
its still reads the e7 on it?

[Confused]

so i think we should shoot the shit about problems with theses "FOX BODIES"
wtf do u think the problem could be? [Confused]

MAF (clean it), check fuel injectors..Fuel pump.. and yeah vaccum lines..

yea im do that to night, check for a vaccum leak ima stop at kragen and get a can of carb cleaner spray the lines and see if it jumps idle [patriot]

CEL = check engine light. I think 87-89 had a check engine light. If you have that you can get the engine codes with a paper clip by counting how my times the check engine light flashes.

Read this site.

http://www.corral.net/tech/maintenance/eecivtest.html#two

It will tell you everything you need to know about checking codes. You want to skip to "Method Two - Check Engine Light" to get the procedure to do it without a scanner.

I would check the following next:

1. Pull plugs and check the color (running lean or rich)
2. Check fuel pressure
3. Check timing

Once you have the results post back up for next steps..

man fuck that! i done that before flash flash man no lol i think my buddy had a scanner il call him see whats up

the battery got pulled while it was sittin and i never fired it up after that i think the ecu needs to re program its self
