my motor on my 93 gt is on its way out.burns lots of oil.whats the cheapest way to get a new motor.ive got some edelbrock heads and cam already ,intake and pretty much every thing else.ive done the whole top end rebuild before but have never yanked a motor before.i want to get a fresh bottom end .where should i start?im on a tight budget..house payment ,kids and a wife..i d like to do it myself.

go to the local machine shop get a quote can probably be done for about a grand for a very basic rebuild

Rings and bearing are the best way to go for a fresh motor. Get the cylinders honed and a gasket kit. If your doing it yourself, I would say parts and labor for machine work about 600-800 depending on what needs done.
