So once again I am having a problem with my 92 LX. To make a long story short, I had it parked all weekend and decided to drive it on Sunday. Start it up and seems to run fine until all of a sudden it sputtered, backfired and died. I couldn't get it to start back up. Next day, fires right back up but does the same thing. Seems like when it gets warm or hot enough it will no longer run. It will crank over but won't start. Any ideas?

Any recomendations on a replacement? I have MSD 6A box, cap, rotor, coil, autolite plugs and LiveWire plug wires. Believe my TFI is currenty a Mallory but not too sure.

I was trying to find the harness to bypass that last night. I know I have done that before but couldn't find the damn wires.

Just to let everyone know, it was my TFI. Thanks for all the advise. When I removed the TFI the metal backing part was falling off the plastic. [patriot]
