i like bbk beacuse its all solid where the header meets the cylinder head and if i remember correctly mac is all single header ports which would be a bitch to line up. i would also suggest u change all mounts up to urathane cause its a tight fit as is and a saggy mount would jus make it more difficult

I've installed Mac LTs and they have been working great for a couple years now. But, I could see how the individual flanges would be a pain in the ass to line up.

go with the BBK headers they are way better quality over the mac for fit. just like stated above bbk has a one piece 3/8in header flange that makes a huge difference when tring to line up those headers to the heads. make sure to get some polyurathane mounts because saggy stock mounts will cause all kinds of problems no matter what brand headers you go with.

I have had no issues whatsoever with my Mac LT's on either of my stangs. The ground clearance is better with Mac's than BBK which is important on a lowered car. Both make good headers though so its all a matter of personal preference....

No matter what brand, longtubes are not CA legal unless your car is pre-smog... [ October 22, 2009, 01:06 AM: Message edited by: EPIK ]

Don't know with 5.0s but mod motors and MAC are the way to go. I had BBK longtubes that I never installed and sold for MACs. The bend/crinkle for the steering shaft looked like something Billy Bob would make with a hammer. The individual flanges wasn't a huge issue. Just bought some chrome BBK longtubes. They are made real well and as said before the flanges are thick and will not bend for anything. +2 for BBK

I would go MAC, they will clear aftermarket bellhousings, BBK will not clear. I like the individual flanges, you just have to use a pry bar to install, just install the rear tubes first then use a pry bar to line up the other tubes when needed. Back in the day one piece flange headers had to be cut when reinstalling.
