for the last week i noticed that my car has been getting a lil hot its passed half way on my temp gage i have a 1990 fox 5.0 with no mods ex. a k&n airfilter and flowmasters (when im driving its a a lil over half way on my temp gage then when i turn my lights on it goes up a lil more what do you guys think it might bee ..

thermostat, radiator flush should be checked first.

Hmm, its probably the SUN... Check the forcast and see when its cool than drive it,or garage it everytime sumer hits

what! There's another 90fox
The temp gauge rising with the lights on is common. Every 5.0 I see does that. I heard it's because of a bad ground but I have not clue if that's right.

Check to see if anything is blocking the front of your radiator.

Yea, if you have pets fur can do it. One time I had this issue and it was fur. My dogs were kept in the garage with the car.
Also try the other stuff mentioned.

change your fan clutch
flush your Radiator change your termostat
if that dosent work then your gonna have to change the water pump

The first thing you should do instead of throwing parts at it is hook up a pressure tester and look for leaks.

+2 there you go Find out what the issue is first.
The simplest thing to do is check the fluid level in the radiator and check for leaks if it is low.

what about hooking a mechanical temp gauge up just for the time being to see if the cluster is accurate?

yea theres an other 90 fox haha but i changed the collent and my fan cluch and my temp went back to normal thank you u guys for the help
