Ford instructs to run 6 quarts of oil, but if it gets below that (not sure how much below but must not be much with the issue being common) its toast. I mean if ur gonna go through the trouble of pulling the motor and opening it up to replace one bearing u might as well rebuild it. Labor, gaskets etc... probably looking @ 2 grand. I remember seeing a mach 1 engine/trans/ecu on CL but that's like 3k and then all the swapping & stuff.
