stick with you T5 it has less rotaional mass then any other trans TKO500 600 t56 and weighs only 75lbs dry. which means it robs less energy to the rear wheels and is not where your problems are.

whats the rest of the setup, exhaust type, with/without cats, camshaft, wheres your fuel pressure set at, timing, what clutch and is it new/used? theres alot of little stuff that makes a difference.

im running stock headers, straight piping no cats, 220lph fuel pump, bbk fuel pressure regulator, king cobra clutch (used but still grabs hard)
im not sure about the camshaft, or the timing.

Check were your timing is at it could be to low and may need to be bumped up a lil. Also the rite cam can change a lot. If you can afford it get custom grind

The problem is not your tranny then, its the fact you're still running the stock fuel map and not getting the most out of your engine combo.

Gforce is good but an ASTRO A5 kit is better Gforce uses 9310 alloy steel on all their gears except 1st gear. they use a stock oem z-spec 1st gear (not 9310). astro use a thicker 9310 1st gear and 9310 on all other gears, they got way better customer service and their parts are available. you need new heads, cam, headers, and intake manifold. the t5 is more the adequate for your power level.
